Themed & Identity-Led Custom Doors — what to consider

The idea might come from a pattern, colour system, material palette, existing façade, interior joinery or the character of the people using the space. The useful starting point is the meaning and setting, then the door construction is developed around it.

This is a bespoke route: dimensions, finish, glazing and hardware are selected for the actual opening and use.

Hidden Door Applications

Hidden doors can belong inside or outside a building.

A concealed door is not limited to an interior feature wall. The idea can be explored for rooms, corridors, wall panelling, storage, service access and selected external openings where the construction, weather protection, security and surrounding finish allow it.

Interior Hidden Doors

Blend an opening into panelling, painted walls or a continuous interior finish so it reads as part of the room. A clean concealed result depends on the frame, hinges, wall build-up and final decoration being planned together before installation.

Exterior & Bespoke Hidden Openings

For selected external locations, concealment has to be designed together with weathering, threshold, frame, security and the façade finish. A clean concealed result depends on the frame, hinges, wall build-up and final decoration being planned together before installation.

Discreet Access

The opening can be visually quiet enough that visitors may not immediately read it as a door, while the owner still has a clear, practical way to use it. Measurements should describe the actual opening and surrounding conditions, not just the visible leaf, because frame and floor details can change the required size.
