Smart Door Maintenance
A well-designed Smart Door should not demand constant attention, but a periodic check helps protect alignment, finish quality and the concealed systems that make the door feel effortless.
Service frequency follows the project.
For many residential installations, an annual or two-year inspection may be a sensible starting point; very high-use, automated or access-controlled doors can justify more frequent checks. The final interval depends on door weight, hardware, traffic, environment and the selected control package.
What a routine visit can include
- Door and frame alignment, clearances and movement.
- Hinges, pivots, closers, locks or concealed actuators where applicable.
- Sensor and access-control operation, power and serviceable connections.
- Visual inspection of the lacquered surface and edges.
- Adjustment and testing after any building movement or floor changes.
Maintenance does not replace manufacturer-specific servicing, certification or regulated inspection where those requirements apply.
