Bespoke Smart Door Project Planning

These doors are commissioned as projects. Size, visual form, frame profile, finish, access behaviour, hidden systems, wall work and installation are resolved together before the finished door is treated as complete.

From idea to installed system.

1. Define the experience

Start with what the door should look like and what the user should be able to do: touch, gesture, controlled access, automatic movement, concealed hardware or a simpler smart-ready arrangement.

2. Survey the opening

Dimensions, wall build-up, floor, frame condition, access for installation and any need for local construction work are checked before the final system is committed.

3. Coordinate the hidden package

Frame preparation, locks or actuators, sensors, power, controls and service access are planned with the door mechanics and the surrounding opening.

4. Manufacture and finish

For lacquered MDF concepts, machining and hidden provisions are completed before the staged preparation and finishing process. This protects the final surface from unnecessary later intervention.

5. Install, align and commission

The door is fitted, aligned and tested as a complete system. Final user operation and any appropriate maintenance route are then confirmed.

Pricing is individual.

There is no useful one-price figure for a bespoke Smart Door. The cost is shaped by size, finish, frame, automation or access hardware, hidden services, wall work and installation complexity. The first step is a short brief, not a generic catalogue price.
