When You Ask for a New Door, We Plan a New Door
Repairing an existing door can be sensible when that is what the customer wants. But when a project is specified as a new door, the supply route should be clear: it is planned as a new door, not an old door presented as new.
Repair and new supply are different jobs
An existing door can sometimes be repaired, adjusted or refinished. That is a repair route. A new-door specification is a different route and should be described honestly.
The opening still matters
Even with a new door, the existing frame, hinge positions, floor clearance, lock position and wall opening can affect how much preparation is needed.
Choose the finish and hardware
A new door can still be personalised through material, colour, finish, glass, handles, locks, hinges, trims and frame decisions.
